Egg laying Chamber question

My veiled cham is about 6 months old and appears ready to lay eggs (restless, scratching at ground). I put some dirt in a container in her cage but she is almost completely ignoring it. Is there a certain amount and kind of dirt that is needed for them to be satisfied with it? Specific tips are really appreciated.

Thanks!

The container should be opaque and at least 12" deep and big enough that when its empty the chameleon can fit in with a couple of inches to spare on all sides.

I prefer to use moistened wash play sand. Whenever she is digging do not let her see you watching her.

I made a 50/50 blend of organic black earth and playsand and it seems to be ok. Whatever you end up doing just make sure it stays moist and that you can dig a tunnel init without it collapsing in.
