Hi,

I’m needing some help I was cleaning my Dubia roach tub and came across 1 of the females that had something coming out of her rear end. Not sure what it is or if I should do anything or just leave her alone. I tried

Female dubias occasionally push out their oothecae. I’ve heard they do it to dry them, but I don’t actually know. Mine do it often.

Not an egg sack, that is just a prolapse which happens occasionally.
Ok, so what is a prolapse? I guess it kills the roaches. I just started out trying to breed them so I’m still learning, any help would be greatly appreciated

Prolapse is when the inner organs protrudes from the body, I don't know the name for it but its always bad for any species. Usually the roach will eventually die from it, if not they will never produce more roaches after a prolapse. I've read that its because of low humidity or stress.

Great Thank you for the help.
