Drac's new habiscus

Found some hibiscus at the grocery store a couple weeks ago! So I bought one for Drac and one for Pepper. I also added some more vines for him. Get ready for pics, there are a lot! Here is Drac enjoying his new plant:

Did you add a light just for the plant? Or is it thriving on just the heat light ? Nice chameleon by the way...

His cage is pretty small, so he just has his uvb light and a 40 watt household bulb. We'll see how long it lasts

He hasn't eaten any plants and has left the flowers alone other than stepping on them

Curious, is the he named after the Dracs from the movie Enemy Mine with Dennis Quaid? That was a cool movie. Great name for a chameleon!

No, he's named after the plant! His name is short for Dracaena but I made it a bit more manly sounding (dra-kane-na instead of dra-seen-na). Except for Kami whose name is the Japanese word for spirit, all my chams (and one of my cats) are named after plants

Thanks for the compliments everyone! Drac seems a lot calmer and isn't climbing all over his screen as much since I got him the new plant and vines. He hasn't fallen off the screen at all. I'm working on finishing his big boy cage this weekend and then move him into it this week sometime. Kind of sucks that I built him a nice big cage and Kami's cage is now empty, but that's ok.

That was from Pat Catan's craft store. It was like $6 for 6 ft of it! Great deal, I put them in all of my cages. I rinsed them with scalding hot water until the water ran clear and then put a coat or 2 of water-based polyurethane to make them more waterproof and easy to clean. Sadly they are now all out or I would offer to send some
