I have 5 dogs and for some reason my yorkie and my nosy be love each other. When my yorkie enters that chameleon room he runs to my nosy be enclosure and my nosy be rushes out to meet the dog nose to nose. It is the wildest thing. For some reason no other chams do this, and my yorkie could care less of the others. He only loves this nosy be. Anyone else experience this?

My dogs are interested in EVERYTHING. But they are definately intrigued by the cham and my hamster. I see you have a terrier. All terriers were bred to hunt something. Small dogs like yorkies were for rats and such, so maybe that's why it's so interested. (not saying he wants to hurt it, just curious probably)

Hell No! Our dogs are both Foxies, anything smaller than them is a toy/food/killable thing.
They dont seem to notice cham much, no fast movement, but boy they hate my ackies,
try to jump through the glass at them if I dont watch them close. I had to move the enclosure, now they just sit and bark, hackles up. I would never trust them for a minute!
I want a perente :D

and the cham is very curious of him. Yorkie enters the room cham rushes out to meet him nose to nose. However, I am very carefull, I never leave them together w/o strict supervision. Like you said all terriers are meant to hunt and yorkies hunted rats. Just weird my yorkie could care less of the other chams. It's like these two are buddies.:)

maybe the cham see's the yorky like this............

My veiled Daigan is the most curious cham in the World! He always wants to check out what you are doing and watches you intently.

Several times I have seen him climb down form his high perch to 'check out' one of my dogs. He will go all the way down and sit nose to nose for a few minutes. He has no fear at all!

First I want to say that I would not advise anyone to leave their dog or cat around there cham. I stay home with my pets and have a very special relactionship with them. My chams free range and my dog Red gets along great with my chams. Below's a video I made of Red and Luie awhile back.

well, came home today....and found out my uncles dog had broke threw Martok's cage door and was within inches of ripping him to shreds when she was caught!! He's been hiding out in the top corner ever since I've been home!! The door latch on top was still in place and she had squeezed her way threw the bottom part of the door.....

Ya, I wouldn't trust a dog around any of my chameleons. Of course there are a few cases that the dog is fine, but I bet curiosity would cause it to get atleast one nibble in...

My dog isn't allowed to even look at the chameleon cages.

however since the beardie is eye level, he is rather mesmerized by my bearded dragon.

I have a doberman, an italian greyhound, 2 pomeranians, a yorkie and a cat. Non of the animals could care less of all my chameleons, except for the yorkie, and he only likes one chameleon. For some reason he and the chameleons have some kind of bond. However, I never just let my chameleon outside the cage around them. My chameleon comes down from his perch as soon as the dog walks in and they meet nose to nose. It is the funniest thing.

THE ANSWER IS YES, FOR DINNER ./ i think the more appropriate question is , DO YOUR CHAMS LIKE YOUR DOGS , THE ANSWER IS NO (it accumulates stress which is likely to manifest itself as an eventual downgrade of your chams health and ability to thrive)

maybe some dogs....that snap at the enclosures and stuff, but my chams are not stressed at all by them. I have many healthy adults over 3yrs old and they are healthy trophy pets. However, most my dogs are trained show dogs that are very calm so this helps a lot. If you have a crazy dog that trys to attack the cage then that prob. will stress out the poor chams.
