Digital Thermometer/Hygrometer

hi, i want to buy a new thermometer and this time i want to buy a digital one. any suggestions? im kind of looking for an inexpensive one thats less than $20

i saw this one at walmart.com:

has anyone ever used it? do you know or think its waterproof?

Recommended to me by a member here, and I do not regret purchasing. In fact I love it so much, I have 2. I should have more!

They are like 12-15 bucks I think. You can find it at Lowes in the weather monitoring area. Go into gardening and it should be right inside with all the indoor garden stuff. About the size of your palm.

Cham how long is the probe on the acurite ? I was curious because i would like to get something like that to place on my cages. Just worried about not being able to get it down to the shelf.

Acurite is the one!
have a good lengthy cable also. My cage is well over 50" and I have no shortage of cable (unless if for some reason, you decided to wrap the cables all around the branches and so on)..

Very nice i will have to pick some of these up or order them i am sick of the zoo med and t rex models that are out there they are no good humidity and temps always are off...

I also use the acutire, I buy it at Walmart for about $15, it has a long cable and allows it to be kept outside the cage. Better plan to keep it outside the cage, I put one into the cage with my baby viels so the wonuln't climb the cable and it got wet. It died as sad death, poor little hydromerter.

lol poor thing i am sure it suffered a long a agonizing death. Well they do say drowning is somewhat peaceful doesn't seem like it would be to me. I am going to pick these up probably today.
