Darker Colorations?

The Wild One

Chameleon Enthusiast
I’ve had my female veiled chameleon for about a month now and she has been showing darker colors, I know they do this when their basking but she seems like she’s basking all of the time. She has a T5 HO bulb, tons of coverage, and is getting misted 2 times a day, morning and night, and the fogger/ humidifier runs at night with a dripper that I’ve seen her drink from. The cage is a screen 2x2x4 with a pothos plant at the bottom. She eats 8 Dubia roaches a 7:00 in the morning, with a Superworm. Her light turns off at 6:00 pm.

K just checking! She sometimes goes up on top of the leaves to bask.
Sweetheart you gotta measure your basking branch from the top of the cage. You want it 7-8 inches below her lighting. This is the only way she will get the correct temps and UVB .

You need to make a lot of cage adjustments, looks bare. Add lots of sticks and live plants. Remember empty space in a viv is wasted space.

First priority is relocating the basking spot by adding horizontal branches. Your Cham should be able to move right up to the screen and below at will.
