My male Nosy be does this same thing. He does it Everytime I walk in the room. He wants me to take him to the free range spots. Once he's there he likes to just lounge there. He does try to climb down if he is on a tree touching the ground so I started only putting him in an area that's high up by the ceiling and he just hangs out there. Mine is a year old though and definitely looking for some mating grounds I guess.
