Colors are looking better!

Our katydids come out late, they're big and green. They drive my chams crazy. I'm going to breed them this summer along with grasshoppers

These are some of the ones we have here.

This is the kind my chams go nuts for:

You have the best bugs! I only have the katydid pictured last and yes my chams go nuts for them. It's a good thing I live in the woods because otherwise I would look like a crazy woman standing on my front porch sometimes pantsless catching them. I've looked at how to breed them and it seems pretty easy so I'm looking forward to when they come out this summer

It's fun when you catch a whole bunch at night and put them in with your chams and then they get to wake up to them in the morning. It's a nice surprise for them and my panther won't even wait until he warms up to to start eating them. He can't wait

Uh, Joel, what's the katydid in the fifth picture? How big is that one???? I have some big red ones that will chase me making their threatening sounds. They are scary things.

Remember last year when I was at your house and I said there was a particular katydid species I was wanting to get? I found a handful of them on your back deck. That is the same species. They are monsters.

I don't know if I ever told you, but that wasn't a successful bug trip for me. I ended up putting the katydids in that small reptibreeze on my drive home. That one asshole katydid ate all the other ones in that cage on the way home. Some he just literally cut in half. I was so mad.

Is that the one that has a red phase? The red ones even scared the chickens. They rear up and come at you. Scary.

How big is that lizard-eating monster?
