cleaning your dripper/humidifier

I have a dripper system and a humidifier set up. I just set it up a couple of days ago, but I was wondering how often they should be cleaned. At work, we do an annual water line flush with hyperchlorinated water. They are then flushed with RO (reverse osmosis) water before being hooked back up to the housing racks (for mice and rats).
Obviously I am going to be cleaning my water systems more often than once a year, but I need to know what the standard is, and what, if any, cleaning solutions. I've heard vinegar is good. What about bleach?

Not sure about cleaning the actual RO system, but I clean all my nozzle heads and humidifiers with vinegar at least twice a year. More if they start getting clogged or cloudy from mineral build up.
