That is definitely Calumma nasutum. The shape of the rostral process is not a way to differentiate the two species you mentioned and both have similar shaped rostral processes depending on their age and sex. Calumma boettgeri have large occipital lobes and they are completely absent in the animal in these photos. No question that is Calumma nasutum.

Yes, the C.nasutum was found a couple of times on thorny branches - There were not a LOT of thorny bushes, but some.

The C.nasutum was most often (if not always) found from 1 to 2 meters.

Yes, C.nasutum was the most common chameleon we saw, just beaten by C.gastrotaenia.

Have you seen babys of nasutum?
My male will not mate with the females and I don´t no why!
Was in madagasca raintime?
