Chameleons in situ : Madagascar

We saw specimens that was not fullgrown - bot no small juveniles.

We were there at the end of the raintime (14-29 march)

And - we did not see any mating (as I figured your question was?)

Your pictures of Calumma oshaughnessyi are great!! They are one of a handful of mid sized chameleons (as well as C. globifer) that are related to the Parsons chameleon. Did you see any females as well?

Calumma brevicornis

Okey - so then I came home without any adult C.brevicornis - nothing more to do than go back to Madagascar :)

Will try to post the juvenile in a couple of minutes..

yes, this is an juvanile of one species of "calumma cucullatum(or brevicorne) complex".
where do you have found it?

We were several places, this juvenile is photgraphed in Ranomafana National Park.

We were also in Andasibe Mantadia, Antananarivo, Nosy Be (incl. Lokobe National Park)

If you have found it in ranomafana probably it is c.brevicorne (adult animals from this area have fantastic pattern whit blue legs)
