Chameleon Issues

Hello, I recently got a Nosy be chameleon(you can find his pic in photo contest) and I've been working with him and coaxing him out with a treat but he just tries to run from me but he's never gotten mad ever or puffed ever. He's only bit me on accident he overbit on a worm and got my finger and he's a sweet little guy. I really need some tips because all I've tried hasn't worked. I don't want him to be like my veiled which is super aggressive!!!!:(

Are you talking about handling? If so, there are tons of threads about this. Remember that handling is not always going to be easy. Each chameleon has its own level of acceptance for being handled. Some will never like it. In these cases it is best not to force the issue.

Yes handeling, and I know my veiled absolutely doesn't so I let him be and got him a huge cage with a big plant and some bungee cords everywhere and he's happy as can be with no handeling but my panther doesn't seem like a bad nature he'll eat from my hand and cup feed and when I get close he doesn't run he just stares curiously but I just can't get him to like coming out:(

You can always try a "free range" plant next to the enclosure to see if he will use it. Often if they are out of the enclosure there will not be so much territorial aggression.

What do you recommend as a good free range? He is next to a corner so I can put soemthing there? I have him on my DIY dropper set up so I can make him something I just need some guidance. These are my first pets and I've already failed at my veiled it's very important to me because as a child my parents could not afford a pet I have sentimental attachement to my chams:(

I generally just put an artificial tree or something with a vine connecting the space so that the chameleon can come out on its own. There is likely going to be less feeling of territorial defense this way.

Okay I will do that. Then what would the next step, sorry for all the questions?

Depends on the chameleon. If he comes out to explore he may be less threatened and more receptive to handling. No guarantees though. No matter what I would not push it and expect miracles. It will take time and they need to have time to adjust to any changes to their environment

When I got my chameleon 1.5 years ago he would not let me touch him eather so I just let it go and left him alone and did not try
until he had trouble with his right eye last month being july when I took him to the vet so now like today he was shedding around
his eyes I put my finger up to his eyes and he rubbed his eyes against my fingers and will let me pick him up now,so you are
going to have to do it on his terms only do not force the issue with him it will come. Hope you the best
