Tokoloshe-
I was there 2 months ago. That hybrid was there, but it wasnt moving at all. All of their animals were somehow lethargic. Except of the cobras. About the chameleons, that girl there told me that they catch fish in that lake and that they put it on some rope and in to the cage. Than flies start coming on the fish and chameleons hunt. Problem here is that you dont have options. They dont have insect food like you can get anywhere else, they dont have equipment, nothing, you need to improvise. Also me, uvb and insects are hard to find. But i have allot of grasshoppers on the field just across my apartment, and also i have some bugs similar to B.lateralis in my apartment.

So i will try to catch many of those and try to start a colony. Uvb i ordered via Aliexpres,it will cost me almost 100$,two bulbs reptiglo 10.0. But i need to provide that for my pet and i dont mind spending
The Bitis Gabonica/Nasicornis was biting at every person who walked by and hissing when you were 10 yards away when I was there.
So they said they put fish in the cage to attract flies? I forgot that they have "birdbath" like water receptacles in the cage for "drinking!"
Why are you not simply keeping him outside in a outdoor enclosure? That is their natural habitat and he will do very well outdoors! There are loads of Ellioti in entebbe ESP near the wildlife center. Finding a girlfriend should be very easy!
They reportedly had some hoehnelli and johnstoni a while back but they did not survive(I am not surprised, as the conditions were suboptimal to say the least!)
Cheers,
