Lately Jose has been down at the bottom of the cage scratching his nose, snout, whatever the front of his head is called on the side of his cage. I'm concerned because hes down there all day scratching himself and I don't know why..

Anyone know why hes doing it?

How hot is the top of his cage? Sometimes they go to the bottom to cool off if it's too warm at the top. What size is the cage. It could be to small or he just wants out. How old is your cham? Could it be a female looking to lay eggs? You can line the inside of your cage with plastic fencing that might help with the nose rubbing. It is also easier on their nails.

The top is around 80-85, the bottom is 70-75. The cage is 18x18x18. Everytime I open the cage he looks at me and then stops scratching. He isnt a female, he has the bumps on his feet.

Awesome, so it shouldnt take TOO long to get it.

I'll try and convince my parents to order it online later.

Make sure you get some bigger plants too.
If the nose rubbing continues in the new big cage, then something else is wrong,
But for right now, i really think its because hes way too big to be in your current cage.
