Cham came early

So I was taking time to set up my cage and had placed my order for the Cham and expected it in a week or 2. He came early. Thankfully the cage was pretty much all set up.
Within the first few hours I was able to see him drink and Ive seen him eating some crickets. Hopefully it was just all meant to be then!
Hes about 2.5 - 3 inches long on his body, how old do you think that puts him at?

Ill try to get some pictures up soon. Cute little guy. I requested a male and had to pay a little more so hopefully he is a he.

Post some pictures! What species is it? 3 inches long is a little over 2 months old for most.

He is a veiled - I was told he would be 3-4 inches. but his body is actually smaller than that. Not sure if you count the tail, haha - stupid question huh?

They did not tell me the exact age of mine either when if got her. Take a picture of the back feet and we can tell you if you got your boy or not.

They usually take measurement from the nose to the vent/butt area.

If you look at the heel of his back feet you can see a bump or a spur. If there is no spur than it is a female. If you are still unsure just post a pic of his feet but it is pretty easy to see.

He will be the 3-4" tomorrow morning. Don't worry, veils are like children. They grow and grow and grow.

Yes, he is a cute little guy. Never thought I would see something so cute besides my children, haha

I will get a picture. I am pretty certain I see a little little bump/nub on the back feet.

Even though I have been doing lots of reading and research, it was instant mix of emotions when they called to tell me he came early on accident. I was very excited but nervous because of all the what if's.

So far though, all seems good and Im just glad he seems to be doing well. I will get more pictures today though. Again, Im taking a ton like I did when my kids were little, lol

He actually was supposed to be a Xmas gift for my 4yr old son, however I think I allowed it only because Ive always wanted one. I have a 6 yr old, 4 yr old and a 2.5 yr old.. So this is kinda fun because he seems like a baby to me, making sure everything is just perfect for him.

Thank you! I cant help but want to take a ton of photos of him, how silly is that. Im a photo junkie though.

Its def been fun having him for a few days. I am now working on a custom cage because the reptibreeze just isnt working for me and all my ideas. He may be happy now but will def be way happier once he gets his new cage.
