Car shopping can go die. -.-" continued...

Well, after almost a year of looking for the car that I wanted and that suited me the most we finally bought a car! I got my 2001 Ford Escape Friday night after I got off of work. :3 I absolutely love it to pieces ha ha. I love how they are a compact SUV but they are huge on the inside. I'm proud to say that just with the help of my dad getting the car and co-signing for it and paying the first month's insurance, I will be paying all of the payments and car insurance plus gas. It's really cheap on gas thankfully about 24 miles to the gallon and it takes $40 to fill it up.

Here are a few pictures. The only thing that needs to be fixed would be the left passenger side interior door handle. It's kind of falling out. I think some duct tape might work.

I was considering a Jeep if I couldn't find another Ford Escape. It drives really nice. I'm happy with the whole thing! It's got the main things I'm looking for.. Power windows and cup holders. ;)

Congrats on the new ride - I know this has been quite the stressful adventure for you. Glad that you got the vehicle of your dreams, and it's pretty cute too!

Thats a pretty fair price for the Escape alternator.... As it is probably one of the hardest to change! My husband is a tech too and he about beat his head in on getting the one out of the Ford Escape he worked on.

Yea that's kinda a low ball price. I found the easiesy way is to lower the whole front subframe and remove the passenger side axle.. its definatly not one to feel bad about struggeling with

Yep he's been a tech for 30 years and he said that was the worse. He said he feels like it was kind of an afterthought.... like they built the car and then said... hmmm we have to put the alternator on somehow. I honestly don't think you could pay my husband to even do it again! :D

Hopefully ChameloenRave won't need one for awhile.

I just took it on a 200 mile round trip and it drove great! Took less than a full tank to get there and back. It hauls a lot of things too. :b Brought back two Box Turtles and setup and three bearded dragons!
