It funny how many traits in common we actually have with them, they are like little boys, when they discover their hemis, can't stop playing w them, rubbing them everywhere, lol.
It's perfectly normal that they now are starting to "flex" it. As long as it retracts again. If anyone sees any issues with this behavior like prolapsing(unable to retract and its turning dark red/purple)
I've gone thru this in the most dramatic way, but with the help of petr necas, my cham survived and is all better now.
Of course best plan of action is immediate vet visit, but emergencies tend to not happen mon-fri 9-5, ya know.
Prolapse isn't something that happens to alot of males, but it can. Dont stress out about it, lol. Just be aware and inspect.
Same goes for plugs, also normal. If you see a plug being kinda stuck, it's OK to very gently pull it out with some towel nice n slow. Your cham will be most grateful. Always inspect the area and under tail where bulge is. Area should feel soft, never rock hard. If hard. Your male may have a stuck plug.
