Bumble bee.

Anyone know anything about bumble bees? heh...
Like what they eat, need, and stuff like that...

they eat flower nectar
and theyre numbers are in decline, so please dont rob them from nature as an unnecessary food for chameleons

Lol No I'm not feeding them to a cham nor am I taking them from a hive. What happened was I was bringing in groceries yesterday and I saw this bug on the ground on it's back soaked and barley moving so I went inside and grabbed on of critter carriers and put her in it so she could dry out and hopefully not die. But after I looked at er few awhile I noticed that she didn't have a stinger or at least I thought she doesn't because there wasn't anything there and she was also secreting some sort of liquid from there. I was just wondering because I don't want her to die and I want he rto get better so I can let her go again. Also she isn't flying at all.

I'm no insect expert, but from what I learned when I was little as I caught bees all the time in my yard, is that when they lose their stinger they die. I'm not 100% sure that it's true anymore, as I've heard that dogs are completely color blind, but according the pet shop owner who breeds dogs, cats, fish, and rodents says they can see full color like humans.. and Chameleons.

Last night I put four dendelions in the critter carrier and I noticed that it's "tounge" was inside the flower so I figured that's what it ate but I wasn't sure.

bumble bees dont loose their stinger after stinging, and its not always obvious to see.

yes, they use their tongue to dip into flowers - they need hundreds.
best to put it back outside during the day

If it is still alive by the time I get home from school I'll let it go. I just wanted to get it out of the rain so it wouldn't die.

That was very nice of you :)
the bumble bees are fresh out of hybernation around where I live, busily buzzing around my flower garden

Sadly the bee died. But I did what I could and at least it didn't drown in the rain... :(

Ya did wat you could. More than most folk.

I inquired because a bee landed on my chams outdoor free range and gave it that look like Ooo baby (spoken like Barry manilow) and I intervened cause I dont know...

They eat the pollen and nectar from flowers. You should avoid killing honey bees from the genus Apis because their population is in serious decline. In fact, Monsanto just bought out the largest research firm of Honey Bees. Funny, that Monsanto is the biggest manufacturer of herbicides and pesticides in the world and are said to be a huge contributor to the Honey Bee decline. If you like keeping bees, you should invest in a hive and mail order a colony.

Place the hive in a place that is safe from pesticides, herbicides, and people. Avoid disturbing them and do not have children playing around them.

I don't want a hive... And I don't kill them... I actually tried to save the bee from dying by getting it out of the rain and warming it up. It just happened to die during the day.

And I by no means want to kill a bee especially an endangered bee. But I have alot of them around my place. will Itbhurt my cham? Im not trying to feed but I have ebough beees that if it were bad for my cham his outside time would have to be 100% supervised
