Broken humidifiers!

I don’t understand why I have bought almost 10 new and barely used humidifiers and am continually buying and replacing them with new ones because they just stop working. I’ve YouTubed how to fix them to no avail. Is it because they are constantly running?

Can anyone help me with this odd dilemma?
