im trying to decide on a staple feeder, but cant decide! ive heard good and bad things about everything. crickets are the most general, but are poor in nutrition, calci-worms are great but i heard they're fatty? can they still be a staple if supplimented with a cricket or two? i heard dubia were great, but im not quite sure i can handle a colony. heard about hornworms, not sure of their nutrition content, would anyone like to educate me on that? i know nothing about silkworms, information? i know mealworms cause impaction, not sure about superworms...ANYTHING else??

Crickets and dubias are staple feeders.
pheonix/calci worms are not fatty, they are great for a daily feeder, but not a staple feeder. (meaning it cant be the only food source)
Horns are good for hydration, but not a daily feeder.
essentialy, superworms are the same as mealworms, but bigger.
I dont know much about silks, but I do know they are not daily feeders either.

crickets and dubias are the staple feeders, they are slightly different though. Crickets have higher protein (especially young ones) so if you have a breeder female, more protein is a good idea, if its a male, just choose whatever your females are, or what is more available.

I hope this helps.
