Appetite

I have a male Veiled chameleon and he is about 6 months old.

Up until about a month ago he would lay waste to any food that I put in the cage. It didn't matter what it was or how much I put in there; it was gone.

Now he is very picky and doesn't seem to be interested in the food I put in the cage. The only thing I have been able to watch him eat is Hornworms.

I have been putting a variety out there; superworms, dubia roaches, mealworms.... even tried gutloading them with different fruits and grains.

His overall health looks great. He is definitely hydrated, seems like he gets bigger every week, and his movements look normal.

Is he just becoming older and doesn't crave as much food now? Just wondering if this is something I should keep monitoring, try something new, or if I'm worried about nothing.

Thank you!

6 months old seems a little young for his appetite to decrease. I think what you are seeing is a fussy eater. Basically...he is spoiled.

I guess I better order more Hornworms because I'm running low... If that is all he is going to eat for now... stinker.
