Any places to adopt a panther cham?

Think about the responsibilities... chams are pretty expensive to do right. ie enclosure, husbandry setup etc... sounds like funds might b limited. Just saying...

Have you considered ordering online? Sorry, I'm not sure of any FL specific breeders, but I'm sure there's some around.

Yes I've done a ton of research on these amazing animals and would be honored to care for one!
OK, please don't take this the wrong way (personally)—we actually hear that a lot around here. If I had a dollar for every newcomer that's "done a ton of research," followed by really basic questions that they should know if they had, I'd... Well, let's say I'd have a lot of dollars.

Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, and of course it's not universal, but the fact is, we don't know newcomers, or what they do or don't know.

The "budget" comment sends up a few flares for some of us. An experienced breeder here recently posted a comic to a chameleon jokes thread:

that drives the point home. Folks who try to do this on the cheap often/usually wind up in trouble.

Also, nobody's perfect—we all make mi$take$, and mi$take$ in this hobby can mount up fast. What we can save in one area will invariably be spent in another.

Like all hobbies, keeping reptiles is a money pit, and if $300 is a lot... Well, it can run more than that per year in ongoing expenses. There are many threads on this in the archives.

I hope you understand that we just want folks coming into this to be aware of the realities so they can succeed!

Can you share with us your ambitions & plans? :)
