Any coffee lovers out there?

I have a coffee ninja and a separate grinder/hopper. My grinder is pretty cool. You set the memory for how fine or course to want it, tell it him many cups you're making and it grinds just enough for what you want.

It went for 149.00 on amazon, but I see the same one for 198.00 - 249.00 at many stores. I'll have to check on the model number for you.

That sounds pretty nice too. Is it a burr grinder?
Yeah it's a burr grinder.

If you grind your own beans fresh, then yeah, it's pretty darn good percolated. A French press makes a really good cup of coffee too, but I have found its all about the beans. Burr grinding is the best because it crushes the beans and releases more of the oils. If the grinder just cuts the beans, not as much flavor is released although it's still better than pre ground. I think I'll go have a cup of coffee now. Lol

My GF buys fancy organic coffee, not even sure what it is. But it tastes better than any other place. I'm not a milk and sugar guy. I just like the caffeine rush haha. Then an hour later I go into irritable mode with every little thing pissing me off :/ makes me a real hoot to be around

That's your body's way of telling you that you need another cup.
I drink giant cups of coffee either from a french press on the weekends or a Hamilton Beach pod system on the weekdays. It's all about the coffee.:coffee:

Don't they have a Tim Horton's or Starbucks or something in that hospital??
That's all that kept me sane when I was in hospital for 35 days straight a couple of years ago.
There was nothing in the rehab place I was in for 118 days after that...and the tea was terrible too.
And don't get me started on the food. :(

Peasants...

I get my beans green from ebay.
I roast a weeks worth in an air popper
I grind in the poor mans Baratza grinder
I have an induction (cool touch bottom) kettle
I have an areopress with a kick starter metal filter

Its either that or i cold brew a weeks worth in a mason jar :p

Geez, sounds like someone likes coffee and work.

So, a week ago, we bought a Cuisinart coffee maker with a built in burr grinder and whole bean hopper. It makes the best dang coffee. Its like having a barista right on our counter top. Gosh darn... The older I get the more I appreciate a good cuppa Joe!
I'm not a ..what they call a coffee "snob" but I do like a good cup of coffee. For about 25 years I uses to grid coffee, I only used Columbian. Now with the Kurig machine's out there I now uses them. I found a coffee brand that actor Hugh Jackson promotes and that he opened a store selling the brand in New York. Hugh calls himself a coffee snob and highly recommended the brand . He met with the Kroger CEO and Kurig company and as of last year the Krogers store was the first to carry the coffee. Now other stores carry it too. It's called The Laughing Man. I drink the Dukale's Blend only. Love it . I also had my first cup of Cubin coffee too. That's really good too(y)

Nightanole, the "peasant" comment cracked me up! It's just what I needed this morning. Thank you!
That cracked me up too:LOL:! I think using the connoisseur word is better. He's been around , I guess he knows a good cut of coffee
