We are just in the waiting for it to arrive up here in North Jersey - I got a few heat packs in case the power goes out (but since it didn't for sandy I'm hopeful ) I hope everyone made emergency plans in advance and I hope work is called off for tomorrow -
Are those iced crepe myrtles in your yard? Gorgeous. Its too warm here in Florida to keep those.

Fab pics, but I can imagine it looks nicer than feels.lol.
Kath.
We have the standard "un-iced" versions here. Last time I went to Long Island I noticed a TON of them! Seems there are some very nice cold hearty versions now.
Even though the ice sucks, those pics are awesome.
I love to see ice covered trees and plants, even if i dont like the accompanying cold.
The ice looks beautiful in the pictures. I'm glad it was not like that when we were there. It's been in the mid 80's here this week.
Wow that is super coolI don't think I've ever seen that - even up here in AK! Just pure ice like that! We definelty get hoar frost on the trees but THAT is really cool!
That's interesting Michael, I didn't know how far North they were native in the US.
I never saw them growing up, but the last time out to the wineries on the north fork there were some at every nursery and tons of them blooming in yards. Must be relatively new for those climates.
