A Goodbye to Rain

Somewhere in the world a little girl suffering from a horrible illness asked God if she could have a Horse in heaven.
God answered,
and said he knew the perfect one.

Early November Rain fell very ill with a bad case of Colic, and had emergency surgery done in attempt to correct it. Rain survived the surgery but was unable to fully recover.
On December 27th My husband felt the wind pick up and watched the December rain fall over our farm. At that moment, our beloved horse Rain past away with her head resting in his lap.

As my husband said as he walked from the barn that evening.
"Happy Trails Rain, Walk On Girl"

Awe sooo sorry you lost your beloved Rain. Horses are amazing creatures. I always wanted to own one and have loved them my entire life. I learned how to ride at an early age. I am sure she had a wonderful life with you on the farm and it was so sweet that your husband held her as she passed. RIP Rain.

I'm sorry for your loss. We had a 9month old mare that got a big peace of skin torn from her side and the vet stocked it up but the little thing managed to pull the skin loose again and died the next day. As for colic iv never heard of surgery my sisters mare cribs alot and when she cilice we just get her moving even if she fight us.
