I would absolutely love to do something like that for him but I've got no room indoors for one and outdoors, well - it's currently snowing :o lol so maybe a temporary (seasonal) one is something to think about putting together for the warmer days... I used to have a large potted hibiscus...

    Shuddering/Shivering??

Hmm ok well. The ReptiCal that I have has D3 in it... so I see I should cut back on that (drastically) and get some plain Calcium (if I can find any.. I remember it being impossible to get Calcium without D3 when I bought this supply...) Another thing that just occurred to me - the link you...

    Trouble with Egg Laying. HELP.

Hello all, Just an update... Izzy seemed to be doing fine - she started eating solid food again and was drinking on her own. She was taken off the anti-fungal meds, but was still on a low dose of antibiotics. I thought we were gonna make it through - she was improving. But sadly, last...

    Trouble with Egg Laying. HELP.

Yeah, I suggested oxytocin to the vet too but on the x-ray they took it appears that there is a very large number of eggs all in one place and if you feel her belly in that spot, it just feels hard and immoveable (not like eggs at all... but they definitely are eggs... just clustered and...

    Trouble with Egg Laying. HELP.

Good luck must be shining down on us today... Just got a call from the Vet. They took a closer look at the fungal bacteria in her throat (from a swab they took yesterday)... They think that it might be possible for her to fight this thing with the medication. So we're gonna give it a try...

    Trouble with Egg Laying. HELP.

Thank you kindly for the vote of confidence... unfortunately when I took her to the vet they said that some of the eggs feel as though they are fusing together and she would never be able to push them out. So they suggested a C-Section. I reluctantly said OK - anything to help, I suppose...

    Trouble with Egg Laying. HELP.

As I already stated the previous clutch I counted about 62 eggs, the first was smaller - about 36. Also as I stated above already, I'm using ReptiCal and Total Bites as supplements... the ReptiCal the vet suggested mixing with water because she isn't eating but we did prescribed oral calcium...

    Egg Laying Question!!

Yeah I figured... But, she's back at it again right now, so I guess all is good...

    Egg Laying Question!!

Hello! I have a female veiled chameleon. She's about 2 years old (I would guess - I'm not sure exactly how old she was when I got her, had her for a year and a half)... Anyhoo, this is the third time since I got her that she's gone into burrowing mode (the two other times, she's laid her eggs...

Trying to build an extension! HELP!

Wow! Nice one Reptoman! That is generally what I want to do, but yes - not as elaborate. I only have an 18X18 tank so it definitely wouldn't be that large either lol :)

Trying to build an extension! HELP!

I think it is a laytex primer (water-based)... I can check with the store that sells it, but if it is laytex-primed, this should be ok?? I mean, It would probably be covered in mesh netting anyway, but I just want to be safe. :)

Trying to build an extension! HELP!

Hi everyone! I have an 18x18x27(?) glass terrarium which my veiled chameleon is doing great in. Only thing is, she's getting bigger and of course has a growing need to be vertical and high up. :) I've looked around for extensions for purchase but they do not make them for this size tank...
