He is stil acclimating, but came up and licked my hand last night, he is really sweet:) We also took in another guy the other day he was kept in a Kritter keeper even though he is a full grown adult and was eating baby food:( It really is sad how many...

    Help!

I find all of my guys to do much better on a set schedule, I would definitely look into getting a timer for your lights. They are pretty inexpensive and he will set his body to a set schedule:) Just like everyone else said he was not happy and wanted you to know, tomorrow he may be fine or he...

    New, First time chameleon.

It is acclimating to its new enclosure , it is stressful. It can take up to a month to fully acclimate. The best thing is to just feed, water and leave. Most like to eat and drink in privacy. Also no handling for a while until he feels more comfortable, and then go very slowly with him/her, you...

    Beast our new jackson!!

Thanks for responding! That is great to hear about a smaller appetite in general, he is growing and doing great so I figured he must be eating the amount he needs, but when I first got him he was starving so he ate a lot so I just wanted to double check! We live in Maine so it is winter 9...

    Beast our new jackson!!

Quick update and quick question;) Beast has been doing great, my question: He is SO picky on foods is that a Jackson thing or a him thing? I offer dubia, crickets, silkworms, hornworms, butterworms, superworms, blue bottle flies which he loved but I can’t get any of the spikes to turn anymore...

    My new little furcifer verrucosus!

So I have not done an update in a little while, here is Buddy showing off all of his colors!! We have nicknamed him booger head as he has been a fart head the last few weeks, he has turned into a biter! All of my other guys have never even tried to bite, so he is an adventure for sure:D We love...

So how is the "bone-chilling 'bomb cyclone'" affecting the southern folk?

I was just telling the other half that Mother Nature is super pissed at us! I feel so bad for all the critters, we have had negative temps right around -20 every night for 2 weeks, I have no idea how anything is doing to great out there:(

    SNOW?? IN TEXAS!?!?

This thread made me:) I have literally done or experienced everything @kinyonga said!!! We just got a foot of snow and a 1/2 inch of rain/ice, ohh the fun of winter, plus it has been super cold, we judge how cold it is by how many cords of wood we have used:D Also 100% agree beanboozled is so...

    Sphag moss in Veiled enclosure?

I personally would not use sphag moss, Veileds are known for eating things like plants etc. and moss can cause impaction quickly. Bio active like Cj said can work but you need to do research on how to set it up properly! Side note I have 4 chams in the same room and I never smell anything...
