    I would take out all that stuff on top and fill it up to the top with digging material. She might not be digging deep enough to feel comfortable to lay them;. Maybe adding some more layers of digging material would help her lay better.

    Mites dont impact chameleons health, they do the feeders though. Best thing to do is throw them out and start over. Female should lay any day now. Do you have any photos of her dig bin?
