Hi everyone,
I was wondering if its ok to use a standard light compact fluorescent bulb in my carpet chams cage just to add more lighting on top of his 60 watt and reptisun 5.0??
Hi,
I saw 4-5 fully grown females in a 4 tall x4 long x 2 wide ft enclosure and they all seemed to be doing well. Would they have any problems laying eggs if housed with other females??
Hi all,
so i ran out of chow and had no mulberry leaves available, instead of having them just die on me, i just threw in some carrots, i figured they would at least get the moisture from it.
surprisingly they just gobbled them all up and are continuing to grow and eat for a whole week...
whenever my guys chomp down on the dubias, this elongated tube gets squeezed out of the back end, i am wondering as to what it is? i was guessing it was the egg sack for the females?? not sure though.
Im guessing he is now about 4-5 months old, gotta go back and check my records, but here he is, he totally freaked out when i shaved my stache, the little dude doesnt recognize me any more and started to gaping and hissing at me, back to square one i guess :o
weighing in just under 20 grams.
Hi everyone, I was curious as to what most people use for their enclosures as far as nozzle types and pressure? I want to set it up for my chameleon who is free ranged at the moment and wanted some advice. thanks
i like the look and almost odorless smell of this new chow i see the hornworms on. i picked up a few pods from a local exotic pet store. It seems to give them a much brighter coloration too. hopefully it will stop them from growing so fast as well ;)
If anyone out there knows if this change...
took a while to get some pics of the little guy, but this is a 4 month old ambanja i got from the kammers Amandil at the Anaheim show, the first day i got him he was white and tan with red bars, looks like he is going to be blue and blue throughout now!!

Hi, I was reading up some coccidia and read,
Coccidia are obligate, intracellular parasites, which means that they must live and reproduce within an animal cell.
Since they must live off of an animal cell. Does that mean they will die off of equipment?? cages, vines etc? How long can they...
Hi all, i just wanted to share some pics and videos of my guys growing up. the really noticable ones have been my melleri from FL chams, and my ambilobe Huey.

Hi, I have a 1 month old ambanja, I've never had babies before, I was wondering if they sleep more than adults? He is active during noon, but this morning and a few other times i have caught him sleeping past 8 am and going to sleep before 5 pm. is he sleeping too much or is this expected...
Any guesses as to what those cells with the 3 nuclei are?
Was thinking coccidia, but was told most cases have 2 or 1 nuclei or a mix. The cells seem to ALL have 3 nuclei.
I read from another member that Hibiscus rosa-sinensis can cause eye and skin problems, but never heard this before. I always thought they were the safest plants in the world for chameleons.
thanks.
