I had a recent conversation with a pop/mom type petstore owner and he inquired about online pet businesses. Anyone who has a website as a main source of selling their chams, do yall have a small business license? I am located in maryland so we don't require a permit to breed and sell nonnative...
Just as title states, have a couple adult eastern box turtles makes and females. Lady I got them from says they laid for her last year. No leopard geckos.
Ok it has been more then a couple weeks and non hatched from my silk moths so in the fridge they go. So far I got about 1/3 of them in there for about a week. Whats the shortest time I can keep them in and get them to hatch. Would they be ok to ship and the receiving person refrigerate?
Anyone got a formula they use, I have a health store close by wanted to try any dry recipes before the wet. I am getting a couple hundred blue bottle flies
Okay so my eggs turned this brown color im guessing they are fertile. Can I just leave them out to hatch. When do i put them into the fridge, Wait untill they turn a different color(darker) or do they go straight in. can i just hatch them straight out without putting them in the fridge. How do I...
Just as title states, they are constantly cocooning at different times so some are ok to move while others are fresh in my silkies made easy post at the last post I have more pics but heres an example.
So petco have this 50 percent off sale on all reptiles so I'm going to take this opportunity to grab a crested gecko. Never kept these geckos so i figured ill ask yall what I should do. I kinda hate shipping so yes I have resorted to crapco. I cant decide between a patternless orange(nice color...

My plastic coated hardware cloth bows a lot to where at the top it sometimes have small gaps dipping in under the top lid. Anyone ever worried a small Cham can get through
I hated the chow thing so this will be the only time ill mention them doing this thread. The women I got my silkworms from had a very high mortality rate. I figured it was due to cleaniness and the fact she didnt consisitently feed them. I could tell from the dried up leaves that looked days...
I initially was planning of using chow for the first instar or until they was ready to eat mature leaves. I was just about to order some worms when I seem a Craigslist ad and as of yesterday I know have a couple hundred baby silkies. The woman pretty much winged it with their care. She fed newly...
Someone is offering them for 100 each, I was going to get a few pairs of jacksons but this seem like a good deal. They dont have a pic of the adults but they were "captive born", wildcaught parents. Should I go ahead and get them?
I am harvesting bamboo this weekend and im sure someone else have tried using bamboo to construct their cages. Just looking for ideas on how to construct the actual structure with the wire. How i should connect the bamboo? Wire, twine, nails, bolts?...
While i was looking at different ideas for making a bookcase rubbermaid rack system for my silkworm project, I got an idea. Could make a rack system for juvis by screening the back, making the shelf seperate each enclosure. Seal the wood for moisture. I dont know how to make a door though?
I plan on buying a batch of 5,000 silkworm eggs and dont want to buy more chow than I need for the next month. I ony need chow until they grow stronger jaws(a week?) to eat regular mulberry leaves. So if atleast half the eggs hatch will a half pound of dried chow be enough to raise them untill I...
All i can find is juvis for sale and they sometimes dont give the age, I wanted an adult veiled but I cant find anyone who have them not even wildcaught. Anyone can recommend a source?
