I initially was planning of using chow for the first instar or until they was ready to eat mature leaves. I was just about to order some worms when I seem a Craigslist ad and as of yesterday I know have a couple hundred baby silkies. The woman pretty much winged it with their care. She fed newly hatched silkies any mulberry leaves straight off the tree. So my question is can I have a good mortality rate with using some leaves that aren't "new". I would still try to find smaller younger leaves but considered mature.
