2 weeks ago today we lost Teal'c. it has taken me a long time to be able to look through photos and make this thread without crying.
I can't be 100% sure what happened to her as we did not get a necropsy but I am almost certain that it was egg problems. She was definitely gravid and about 3...
It was an awesome sunny day here today so we decided to take off work to get Teal'c some outside time. Not often a good hot day in Shetland so you've gotta take every chance you get! She's still not fond of the camera :)
Thanks for looking :)
I had to take Teal'c out for a tank cleaning today and to sort out her laying bin because I believe she's in the early stages of egg development again! John took some photos and she wasn't pleased about it :D
I've never seen her fire up like this before, she usually just goes dark...
I took this video last week :) I was eating a banana and Teal'c was giving me the puppy dog eyes so I shared with her. I know banana is particularly full of phosphorus and potassium and therefor not a good food for her but I couldn't resist this time!
Here's a link to the video...
Hey guys! As some of you know we live on a small island in the middle of the northern sea (uk)
Due to high winds and sea swell there have been no passenger or freight boats for 2 days and none tomorrow either!
The supermarkets have run out of food and the whole island had been going nuts...
After months of thinking my girl could have infertile eggs she finally laid on 6th December! I got suspicious of eggs a couple of weeks before and tried her in her big bin but she wasn’t ready yet!
She started to dig test holes on 30th November and didn’t eat from the day before! She had...
Saw this on Facebook, page is 'animals with other animals bodies' and there's some great photoshop skills going on there! Enjoy :D

It's been a while since I posted some pics of my little girl! unfortunately theyre just phone pics but she's so cute it doesn't really matter :) she was havin a shower and a nice drink, I though the way she was standing was really funny.
I think she's receptive just now because her orange bits...
Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that Teal'c is doing great!
She had a mild respiratory infection and has just finished 2 weeks of baytril and steam sessions in the shower room. We upped her temps about 5 degrees f.
She's back to her old grumpy self :) eating like a champ and a lot...
Hi guys! Quick question, is Milton fluid pok to sterelise silkworm tubs and other cham related objects?
I figure, it's safe for brand new babies so why not? I'm getting a bit fed up of boiling kettle after kettle of water to sterilise tubs every time a new batch of worms comes in! :)...
I don't know if this should actually go in here but oh well!
At the weekend we had one escaped cricket. He escaped in the living room and I was expecting to find him at the window at some point.
This morning I was getting ready for work. I put on my shoes in the bedroom and felt something...
We have a bunch of silks just now and a few days ago one started to cocoon. He must have gotten disturbed by one of the other worms as he stopped spinning. The next day I went to clean them out and see this! The poor little guy had stoped spinning put continued to pupate! Taking bets now for if...

And then an update in which I said we suspected a respitory infection...
EPIC DRAINAGE FAIL IN OUR HOUSE THIS WEEK!
Noticed a wet patch on the carpet the other day and realised the drainage basin was out of line. Threw some towels on the floor and moved the basin back, job well done, NOT!
The carpet didn't dry so we hired a rug doctor to give it a good clean...
It was a glorious day in Shetland today, which is surprising! So we decided to take Teal'c outside and make the most of it.
We managed to stay out for a whopping 4 hours and only came in when the wind piicked up,
John got a few good shots while I was getting sunburned!
She was...
Hey everyone! I made a post a few weeks ago about our female veiled https://www.chameleonforums.com/we-trouble-88386/
Today was the first day I handled her since we got her about 5 months ago! We had an appointment at the vets today so there wasn't a choice! We've been worried about the edema...
Teal'c just did the funniest thing! She went down to her salad bowl and I caught her with her legs in the air lol!
Not the best photo but too funny not to share :D
Hey everyone! I was wondering if any of you ha watched the bbc series The HUman Planet. If you have, what are your favourite parts?
I have to say one of my favourites is the honey guide bird. I find it amazing that this bird has a call for communicating with humans, different to the one it...
So I've been reading a lot of topics about gular edema on the forums recently so I don't know if I'm being paranoid or if there's something wrong with our girl.
