Not sure if double posting is alright here, but David, Thank you very much, as well. I can not wait for my Veiled to show his colors as much as the one in your picture is showing very beautifully, might I add. :)
Thank you, just ever so much. :)Trust me, I am sure I will now that I have my lap top fixed. Your little one in your profile pic is very cute, as well. :)
They got him at petsmart in the next state over, tis only about an hour drive, so, we are there a lot. He is not illegal, well, he would be. The law says that if he is 5-6 inches in shell size, he is alright to keep. He is just a tiny bit over 5 inches.
Tis a boy. His name I Henry. I always said that I would name a turtle bowser e on Mario, but when I got him, he looked more like a Henry to me. Lol. He is an adult Eastern box turtle, I am pretty sure. He was a suprized and my parents only knew he was a box turtle. Lol
Thank you for the advice, everyone. My laptop is messed up at the moment, but as soon as I get it fixed I will post pics. Tis going to sound silly, but his temporary home is a kids wading pool, when he is outside. I bring him inside at night, because there are a lot of animals that like to come...
So, I read that tortoise terrariums are good for box turtles. My patents got me a box turtle spur of the moment and I am obviously not really prepared. I have a set up for him temporarily and he seems fine. I just was wondering if anyone knew a nice cheap place to buy tortoise terrariums online...
I think tis a personal thing. My Cham is fun to watch eat. He gets ontop of his dish, turns his head sideways looks at his food then shoots his tonge out. I love to watch it he is so awkward. Maybe your Cham just has awkward little qurkes, too?
thank you all. He is a veiled cham. He will come to me if I move something in his cage. I just feel like he only comes when he gets scared. LOL. I wish I had a better camara. He sleeps in a cute little curl on a vine. Tis so adorable.
Night Crawler has reached the stage to where he does not want me taking him out of his cage. He will climb to me occasionally when I go to put food in, but when I actually need to take him out to clean his cage out or take him out for some sun time, he gets kind of grr..... Everyone said this...
thank you. Actually, I do not have to worry, anymore I put a butter worm and 6 wax worms along with 2 crickets in his dish today, and he at it all. I guess he was just freaked about shedding. He is now pigging out on more food. :) thank you for all your help.
Ok. Good. I can relax, now. LOL thank you all for your help/ advice. Yayzzz!! One more trip to the vet possiably avoided. He is eating, witch is nice, but tie less than half of his normal diet.
My veiled Cham seems very healthy and not quite as active, but still pretty active. He is sheading, and it seems to e going alright. He is very young about 2 or 3 months old, so, he has started to sheed offten. The question is.... Is it normal for a Cham not to eat as much when it sheeds?
at least they like coming out. I am very relieved to know that it is a good thing. I was starting to wonder. I do feel bad, though. I have somehow made him a little divia. LOL.
LOL. I think the worst would be if I actually stopped to think about how much money I spend on him. He may like me so much, because I over spoil him. LOL. thank you, though. He really is a good Cham. Great for my first one, especially.
