Yes, I know how to force feed. They specified the amounts of vitamins, but I forgot to write it. 1/2 tsp of multivitamin and 1 tsp of calcium Are you sure about not using the dog food? Anybother suggestions? I plan on picking up the ingredients in the morning so any help would be appreciated.

I have a young panther chameleon who has an eye infection and has lost alot of weight. Among other medications and instructions, the vet I visited today gave me a recipe for a force-feed diet. The title is "leopard gecko force feed diet" so I'm unsure about how good the recipe is, even though...

Ya, it seems to have. He didn't have his eyes closed at that point, but seemed rather lazy and inactive. I wasn't too worried until I noticed yesterday that they were closed

    Chameleon eye problem. Help please!

Honestly for gut loading crickets I use rep-cal cricket food. I don't gut load silkworms, hornworms or kingworms, as they are fed the day I get them. In the pet store, the crickets are fed another kind of pre-made Gutload the kings are refrigerated and don't eat anything and the silks and...

The 2 UVB bulbs and the 2 halogens are all part of one system. It's the one made by exo-terra. Haha. A little unnecesary but it was a package deal ( it actually came with 2 of these systems, but I sold one) and it looks really nice and bright. I have heard of quite a number of people using this...

    Your thoughts on desert move..

i would not go for that cage. its not much bigger then the exo. the exo is cheaper. that cage looks poor quality. poor lighting options. difficult drainage. In my opinion, go for a well made product. lllreptile has nice big screen cages if thats the way your leaning. if your leaning towards a...

    Your thoughts on desert move..

That could work to, with high quality build. Make sure you use high quality wood that won't morph at all. Also make sure u have a heavy coat of water resistant finish. As for drainage in an exo terra, it's not hard. Use some sort of absorbent material (I'm trying to find what will work best for...

Not at all. It dry up here it dry down there. With a/c the temps will be the same or similar. Glass is fine anywhere. Read Chris andersons thread before posting that. It clearly identifies the theory in which glass is only good in certain parts of the world, as false

    Your thoughts on desert move..

Yes but I have an Exo which has ventilation

    Your thoughts on desert move..

You do NOT want that tank. From what I can see there is no ventilation. Doesn't even look like there's a screen top. If your going glass. The exo-terra 36x18x36 is your best bet. As long as its at least 3 feet off the ground it will be fine.

    Your thoughts on desert move..

Well, again in my opinion that terrarium will do just fine. There's no way a chameleon that young would be Gravid. I would also recommend hand/cup feeding. Not only is it more fun:) but it also help the chameleon to get all that she needs, so she won't be constantly searching her cage. It will...
