    Little fella' doing GREAT.

He doesn't eat THAT much, but eating is eating! Yesterday he had 2 cricks, today he had 6. All I need now is to ensure that he's drinking up water :) The only problem for me right now is maintaining humidity, looking into getting a low priced humidifier and i'm good to go. Any suggestions in...

Help with lighting and humidity in summer

I recommend you change the hood top, and just go with a larger reptisun bulb because in the future you'll be needing a bigger bulb for the larger home anyways. Might as well save some money doing it! and i don't recommend coil, they're low wattage and they don't cover enough surface area, in...

Help with lighting and humidity in summer

Lose the night bulb and adjust the basking light higher or lower to change temperatures. And he definitely needs more walk space. @losgutierrez, both basking bulb and reptisun bulb should be on for 12 hours day and 12 hours night, you can slowly change it i believe. But personally i like it to...

    Little fella' doing GREAT.

Just got my Blue Barred Ambilobe about 3 days ago. At first, he didn't eat until I covered 2 and a half sides and left him alone to eat. He didn't really move around much but now he's always somewhere new. I'm loving him, so cute! First day home...

100 for that size USED is pretty expensive if you ask me.. I got a brand new 16x16x20 for 70 dollars. If you're lucky like my buddy, he got the 18x18x24 at a garage sale used for 40 bucks.

Yes, the sun-glo has no UVB, just a basking bulb. The cham I'm getting will be a Blue barred ambilobe; about 3 - 4 months old.

    Help needed.

Hey guys, just got my cage set-up. But I'm very mixed up about what I should be using.. Basking Light: I have a 50W Sun Glo Tight beam. UVB Light: Repti-Glo 5.0 UVB. How far apart should the the light and the branches be? Some people say 8 inches apart, some say 12. Also, what humidity range...

    How do you pick names

Well, my upcoming cham was at first to be named AJ which are the initials of mine and my girl's name, but then decided to go with Tyson because I just love that name for some odd reason. :D

    decisions, oh decisions..

Currently, I am trying to decide whether I want a Nosy Be or a BB Ambilobe. I love them both, but I can't afford them both. Before I resort to a coin toss, I'd just like to know: Which one do YOU prefer? (put your reasons!)

    Hookah smoke

There's a room in my house that has a very strong ventilation system, I do my hookah and others in there. But I have smoked plenty in my room, and this is the best way to solve it: Have a fan blowing from one end of the room in an upwards angle (so basically near your cham cage), open windows...

    Regarding Water.

One last question, a bit off topic, regarding lighting. Should I be leaving the UVB and basking light for the day, then turning off the lights at night with the addition of a purple/blue night bulb? Or should I be leaving one of the basking or UVB running 24/7?

    Regarding Water.

Well I'm in canada; mississauga to be specific. The tap-water in my opinion is decent, but I'm still not too sure. I'll probably invest in a water filter. I don't play on using a mister much because watering by hand will just mean I get to bond with the damn guy. :D
