    Retained Eye Skin Shed

My Chameleon has retained a few pieces of skin on his eyes. Is this just going to fall off? or will it cause problems in the future with the new skin growth?

Do gut loading ingredients differ depending on Chameleon species?

Does gut loading ingredients differ depending on Chameleon species? Are their ingredients that shouldn't be fed to insects for feeding to Chameleons depending on species? I have recently posted a thread on the use of Kale and it got me thinking. Would a Panther Chameleon require thier bugs...

    Gutloading with Kale.

I've been looking through different gutloading feed stuffs and it seems Kale is the perfect ingredient to feed to your bugs. No vitamin A or D3 but it contains calcium. So Kale, is it a superfood for gut loading as well as for us?

No parasites so do I worm?

My Chameleons fecal sample came back clear. No parasites. So I'm pleased about that. But would you still worm? If there is no parasites why should I worm him? I would be building an imunity to the wormer so when I need it, it won't work.

    Feeding Stick Insects to Chameleons?

Does anybody feed stick insects to their Chameleons? I have a Panther Chameleon and thought about adding variety to the diet. Rather than locusts all the time and the occasional waxworm I thought young stick insects would provide a good feed stuff. Anybody tried it?

Following on from the 'first shed thread'

Could anybody give me some advise on shedding? I have recently got my Panther Chameleon. He is 4 months old, what am I to expect when the shed comes round? Going off his food? Increase his misting? Temperature change? Lighting change? Diet change? I just want to be really prepared.

    General Heating Terrarium

I have an infared basking lamp that is thermostat controlled. Will this keep the whole terrarium warm or do I need an extra heat source? If I place the sensor under the heat lamp and set the temperature I would imagine it would create a nice gradient in the tank. Then maybe I need a basking...

Let the Chameleon fun times begin

Hello to the Chameleon Forum, Currently I have no Chameleon, all I have is a brand new, large exo-terra tank. If I had put a little more thought into it I would have bought the taller tank, mine is 90 x 45 x 60. Could of got the 90 tall one. We will call that mistake one and move on, as I...
