Hey everyone!
I just wanted to post and say how great it is to have so many great people on here with so much knowledge, and so willing to share!
I recently joined another reptile forum and nearly all of my posts were met with rants on how people waste their time and people should do research...
I have always had the reptisun 5.0 for my panther, but mine randomly burnt out (after only four months) and my local petco only had Zilla Tropical Series 25 fluorescent lights(15watt), and I did not want him to go without until the reptisun 5.0 came in. My question is if anyone has had luck with...
I was wondering how you keep the humidity up in your free range setups. Can you use an automatic mist system and not spray the entire room? Thanks for your time!
I am looking for a place that I can get all of my feeders in one place. I order offline and I primarily feed crickets and silkworms. I need somewhere that has these two feeders, but it would be awesome if they also had butter or hornworms. If anyone has a good supplier, let me know!
I would really like to free range my ambilobe panther. But I do not know what I should do to regulate the humidity in the area. I could really use some examples of what others do, or any ideas would be appreciated. :)
I would really like to free range my ambilobe panther. I have a safe area, plants, vines, and feeding for the most part figured out. The only thing I am wondering about is keeping the area humid enough. I was wondering if anyone could share how they water/provide humidity in their free ranges...
My ambilobe panther is around a year old. I have always had him caged and I have recently moved and I am considering free ranging him in my apartment. Does anyone have recommended reading, and/or ideas of the best room to do it in, and how to set things up? Thanks!
I have heard that the aquazamp is a good mister, and I am interested in the rain dome because of the consistent dripping. Has anyone had any luck/experience with these?
My Ambilobe Panther is approx a year old and has always been in the same enclosure. He has grown out of his current enclosure and I am in the process of setting up a new, larger enclosure for him in my new apartment. After I have the humidity and temperature stable I will be moving him.
I...
I am looking for input on the best enclosure to buy for my year old Ambilobe Panther. Although he is comortable in his current enclosure, I would like to upgrade. I am looking for something taller then wide, and something that is not incredibly difficult to hang branches/vines from. Thankyou!
Well, I have recently bought silkworms from both Mulberry Farms and Coastal Silkworms. The Mulberry Farm silkies were very healthy, and were the size I ordered, small, at .25 to .5 inches long. I ordered the same size from Coastal Silkworms, and I recieved in total 300 silkies that were in...
This is Hogan, my 4 month old ambilobe panther. I recently bought him from Kammerflage Kreations. They were SO helpful in answering all my questions and providing me with the perfect baby for me! What do you think?
A bit blurry..
On the move!
Where are those darn crickets?!
He...
This is my enclosure for my 4 month old Ambilobe Panther. I have a ReptiSun 5.0 Linear, 60watt incandescent for my basking spot, a ficus, a scheflerra, the mistking(which nozzle is now centered) and Zoo Med's Little dripper. My Basking temp ranges from 80 to 85 degrees F. My humidity is at about...
I recently added a scheflerra plant to my 5 month old panther's enclosure. It appears that he has taken a few bites out of the plant. Should I remove the plants or is this okay?
Today I put a new vine (bought from Petsmart) in my 5 month old Ambilobe's enclosure. I wrapped it around a couple of his branches and through his plants. All of a sudden, he stopped in his tracks (didn't puff up, but colored up very bright). I thought he would soon go explore (he is usually...
I just saw my five month old panther go from his basking spot, and quickly to a spot on one of his branches and knaw on it three or four times ( I heard the grinding). Any ideas why he may be doing this?
I have ordered silkies twice now and lost them within a matter of days. I am keeping them in the enclosure bought at coastal silkworms, which is a plastic container with a mesh bottom with a cover that allows air flow. They are eating the pre made mullberry food, also bought at coastal...
