My mom has been saying she hears my cham hiss but with his mouth closed. And she says it doesn’t sound like just a huff and that it sounds like a hiss. Could this be him expelling heat or is he just getting upset at my mom? She doesn’t really come near him she just will be in the general area.

My cham will willingly climb onto someone and then hiss at them unprovoked. Has only happened twice and hasn’t happened with me. Is it just his behavior changing or could he be hurt or something?
