Using a planter box for substrate in a screen cage

I have a butterfly cage on top of a planter box that I drilled a hole in the side to allow for drainage for my outdoor cage and I have a fabric planter in my indoor cage but that has only been setup a few months, I like it so far but time will tell. I’ll attach a couple pics. You may like some...

Are paint fumes bad for chameleon health?

Just make sure to tie it down well or add a very large heavy plant so it won’t blow over in the wind. A large plant would also help protect from too much direct sunlight.☺️

Baby panther chameleon setup cleaning tips?

I too use paper towels on the bottom. I've actually transitioned from using bins to now using butterfly cages. The butterfly cages have 5 mesh sides and a clear plastic panel on one of the long [tall?] Sides. I turn them sideways so they aren't so tall, plastic panel down. I add a bunch of small...

    Evacuation / hospital bin

The butterfly closures are what I used to transport and are my emergency cages. You can easily wedge a stick in there to give them something to climb on and they come in various sizes that fold down extremely small. I would go for the 15 x 15 x 24“ size. It’s comfortable enough to buy you a...

Are paint fumes bad for chameleon health?

Thanks for the idea I just ordered the same butterfly cage. I knew people used them for baby cham enclosures but I hadn’t thought to use a larger one as an outdoor enclosure that I can just leave out there and bring my cham to for sunlight time.

    New noseybe panther hatchling help!

...10ish in them from time to time. The ones I have are very similar to the medium reptibreeze cages. The idea is that the mesh of a butterfly cage is fine enough to keep in the fruit flies and provide a climbing area for the baby. Keep in mind you won't be able to place a light directly on top...

    New noseybe panther hatchling help!

Once you get the butterfly cage set up once he's in, he will have to readjust but he will be ok. Like pulling off a bandaid, just take a deep breath and go for it lol. Try coaxing him on a stick and try to go underneath him vs over him.

    New noseybe panther hatchling help!

I use butterfly cages for my hatchlings. I agree with Salty that your cham is in the "weeks old" range. Google butterfly cages on Amazon - they're $12 which is super cheap. Also you'll want to, as previously mentioned, get pin head crickets and fruit flies. Careful with crickets as they will...

    We’re moving 1700 miles HELP!

Does space in the car allow for more room/larger carrier? If so, I’d get a collapsable butterfly cage from amazon ($15 or so). You can put one or two bendable vines ($5) in there to make her a little more comfy, and maybe wrap a fake plant in the vines. It would also allow you to remove the...
