I don't know about the "seeing each other" thing as I only have 1 chameleon but I do know that he can get off his tree and travel so I would not count on them ALWAYS staying on their locations. Unless you put up some sort of barrier, they will find each other eventually if either of them starts...
Swyft is really pretty today. He stayed in his area all day from what I can tell. I think I have him contained pretty well to his one section of the room with his tree and plants.
A big thanks to SandraChameleon for the tip on dubias, I'm on a better road now for feeding him.
Weather was...
My spare bedroom is a zoo but I keep the door closed. Baby gates can fall with a determined dog. Mine will respect the baby gates in the house during "normal business hours" but when something is out of the ordinary those gates can come down. (i.e. excessively excited over company) I...
Swyft shunned a dubia again today and readily, heartily ate 3 superworms with light dusting of calcium instead. In fact this is the second time in a row that he has nailed two superworms with one shot! He's either talented or greedy, not sure which. I offered the dubia, completely...
Swyft's colors are so beautiful! I think he is enjoying his new setup. Last night he slept on the curtain rod that I had relocated above the window. Today he's actively drinking, did not eat today, but his colors and activity level are really impressing me.
I brought in his Hibiscus to...
I love dubias compared to crickets. They just seem hardier to me, and meatier for the critters I'm feeding them to.
I use this cricket keeper with the tubes and just shake one out into the cup for cup-feeding: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753240&lmdn=Reptile...
My boy is SO MUCH friendlier now, being free-range, oh my stars!! My daughter is visiting and could not believe I walked right up to him, quietly, talked softly and moved slowly, he climbed right up on me. I am so happy about this as he wasn't completely aggressive in the cage like some...
I finally made a decision on Swyft's setup. I really love the distance he can go with his free-range but he simply is not returning to the tree for his humidity, uvb light, and basking area. I have "grounded him" for now. I rearranged his large wide curtain rod with biovine and fake leaves to...
I wish you luck getting them back in their cage once they start free-range. That's how Swyft ended up just staying out of his cage, he pouted and fussed and refused to go back in, would claw and fight at the cage when returned to the cage, it became easier to just leave him out. When in his...
Oh wow, yes he does as a matter of fact. I never would have known that could bother him! I can figure out a route for him to go up instead somehow. Thank you so much!

Just copy and paste into your posting. It really helps for people to see the big picture of what might be going on. :)
Swyft was excited and well-aimed with his tongue on a dubia tonight. I offered a second one but he turned his head away.
He was doing the pacing thing again on the curtain rod so I relocated him to his tree again and misted it heavily, he drank readily. I think pacing means thirsty? Why...
Swyft. Which is my bf's gaming nick and the chameleon was born on his birthday. It has become quite a suitable name, hard to explain, it just fits him.
Swyft was pacing yesterday on the curtain rod. He knows how to get back to the tree, I've seen him do it, I don't know what his deal was. Finally, frustrated and concerned about the pacing, I grabbed my step-ladder and relocated him for the last few hours of the evening to his tree which has...
Swyft is starting to concern me. He's alert, active, and eating superworms but still wont eat a dubia. He turns his head and looks away. But if I bring out a superworm he will turn and grab it.
He's still free-ranging and I'm still misting him and the plants and the fake plants, he doesn't...
