Less is more sometimes.

I finally made a decision on Swyft's setup. I really love the distance he can go with his free-range but he simply is not returning to the tree for his humidity, uvb light, and basking area. I have "grounded him" for now. I rearranged his large wide curtain rod with biovine and fake leaves to go up to the ceiling among the large tree, rather than out to the rest of the room. He can go the same distance up, but has lost the shelves and curtain rod over the closet that took him so far from "home". I'll be watching him today to see how far he explores upwards and to ensure it all holds securely. I may relocate the skinnier curtain rod that was over the closet to an area closer to the tree so he still has more to climb but can't get so far away from his basic needs of the higher humidity, the uvb light, and the higher basking light which is going to become even more important through the winter months here in CO.

I expect some pouting initially and some attempts to go back to his previous ranging area but I am hoping if I relocate enough of his previous toys he will adjust without too much sadness. Up, instead of out, is my new goal for him.
