Happy birthday to my guy reptar. I’m not sure of his actual birthday. So I gave him mine. Also the day I got him. He’s come a long way since I got him still very fiesty but overcame some health issues in the beginning and me having to force shots on him. Here’s to another year with you Reptar!
Just showing off my cage and Mr Taz the big guy had 2 sheds in 6 days. I added a big umbrella tree to the bottom of his cage and a Pangea vine really like the way the green pops. And definitely like that vine better than the other options.
So I have someone that brought a plant home from Florida and with it came two chameleons unknown species have yet to see a good picture. One died but they have another one and not sure what to do with it. Any advice I can’t really take it in right now and don’t really want to risk it with a WC...
Haven’t posted or been on in while just wanted to drop by and say Hi to all the wonderful chameleon keepers out there. And Reptar has been doing great. Getting a little more used to me still doesn’t like to be handled to much. But will let me take him out with a little fight of coarse. Here he...
Any suggestions on a reptile to put in this thing. I tried to breed hornworms but can’t see to get them to turn into moths the pupate and that’s it, eventually die. I mist them when I see the soil dry so I’m not sure. So time for something else. Was think maybe frogs? Or a gecko? I’m willing to...
Getting excited for my new chameleon. Changed out some things in the room. Took out the table from Reptars cage and added the plastic shelf’s. Got the uvb light mounted and jungle dawn light in place. Switched out my mister and fogger for leap brand mister and fogger and really pleased with both...
Having trouble getting reptar to eat new bugs I’ve tried Dubias though those might have been to small I think. Super worms he ate once and won’t touch them again. Black soldier fly large brought no interest. He loves his crickets and horn worms. Just trying to get a more variety of food for him...
Today I was able to feed reptar a hornworm from my hand. He was hesitant at first but he did it after a few minutes of waiting. Happy chameleon keeper today (:
I thought this would go away after awhile specially after giving him shots I understood him running and hiding but he would still eat from tongs and come for hornworms. Now he won’t come for them he runs and hides anytime I come around. I try to hang out and hold the hornworm there for him and...
Just preparing for my baby in the spring. Getting excited April can’t come soon enough! They should be hatched by Christmas or new years can’t wait to get the first glimpse of them and pick out the one I want!
What do you use to clean the inside of the cage? I’ve been using just water to wipe things down wonder I way to disinfect? Or should I just keep wiping down with water?
