Like the other guys said, it could be either one of the cases. If he just oppened his mouth really wide and then close it right away he was probably just yawning.
Wouldn't say that the bulb is the reason of the cham closing his eyes ! I used reptisun 5.0 and is totally fine the diference between the comoact and the tube is the area that the light cover that is it !
It seems like he just want to get out !! He has been crawling all over the screen. He has never done this before. Maybe it was a bad idea to take him outside :/ ? There are tons of trees that he can look at
Yeah he might just be adjusting. I doubt that he is trying to absorb tge heat. Because he is dark all day long and he is alot darker that when he was inside the house basking
Well the houston weather now is perfect. So I decided to move my chameleon cage outside. Since I did this he has been just brown all day ! :( he is receiving natural sun. His temps are right and I'm misting several times through out the day. I'm not using uvb anymore since he is getting natural...
Makes sense. okay so I'll see if I can get an umbrella plant today and last question what about suplementation ? should I keep my suplementation schedule? or chhange it ? Right now I'm suplementing him with calcium every feeding, d3 twice month and multivit twice a month. I gutload my feeders

This is a pic of my current enclosure would you say is good enough o maybe get another plant like a pothos. I will also start with the less wattage bulb I have and monitor the temps and then change if necesessary .
Hi guys, so we are starting to have really nice weather here in houston and I'm gonna move my chameleon (ambilobe) to the balcony so he starts to get just real sunlight :) my concern is that in the balcony the sun does not reach all day. So should I still use my uvb or just adjust the timer so...
Well I'm not an expert but based on whant I've read it depends on some factors (cage size, plants that you are using etc). The incandescent bulb can be just a normal bulb. You have to play araound with the differend wattages so you achieve the desire temperature. I use a 70W and it works...

He does have a driper going on .. but for example the humidity this morning was at 70% and I just mist the cage a bit ... I usually mist heavily in...
