my cham wasnt really using his dripper, so with a lot of patience I teached him how to drink from syringe...
I`ve heard that I should be very careful because he could aspirate...
Just wondering... what would happen if he does?
Im worried about this
I like to cup feed... that way I can control how much my cham eats, also... insects dont get lost in cage, or hides somewhere...
insects also die easier by getting drown in drops of water at the bottom of the cage..
3-4 months?
I believe he could be less than 3 months....
great pictures!!!
If you look around the forum there are some people that use special hig potted plants and let their chameleons walk on it, and bask.... just be careful, some have lost their chams this way too...
My chameleon hates going...
just for the record...
White lined sphinx are safe to feed..
At least, my cham has been eating them for about 2 weeks now, and he loves them!
(there seems to be a plague where I live, and I have been catching them and I dont feed them until Im really sure they are safe and clean from...
She laid a clutch of 15 eggs 5 days ago...
It was a small clutch because the store that selled it to me kept her under bad conditions and poor feeding.
She is still black/brownish... and today I took her out of her cage and when she saw my male across the room, she started to hiss and show up...
This exact same thing is happening to me..
My female laid a clutch of 15 eggs yesterday, I assumed it was ok, because the store kept her wrong way and didnt fed her well..
She finished yesterday around 9 pm, and she looked exhausted when she was covering around the area... so I decided to...
I believe my room is even hotter than that... and my chameleon seems to love it...
I just use a cooler basking bulb.. usually just a regular house bulb...
but I do have an air conditioner during the nights... it makes temperature drop around 70 F...
I havent had any problems x) and he seems great
after a long day of digging, she is finally done!!
She gave birth to 15 beautiful little eggs!!
Its the first the first time its the first time I get eggs!
Can someone please help me out??
I have them on humid vermiculite...
should I cover them?? or should I just leave them undercover...
Hey everyone!!!
Im very surprised... I bought a female veiled chameleon form a pet store that kept her with a male...
When I first saw her I could easily tell she was pregnant because she had pregnancy colors and was very stressed inside the cage.
The guy at the store didnt seem to know much...
Yup like said above..
I would just get a cuttlebone at a pet store ... and scratch it to get a fine powder of it...
it will save you SO much time, and they are cheap!
Or just plain calcium for human use.
Superworms look just like mealworms but they are way bigger...
They are high in fat, so you are supposed to use them as a treat.
I usually give one every 3 days or so....
They are good, and chams love them, just avoid giving one everyday.
Sandra, Ive tried dark ones, and still dont work -_-
Turningodc, I actually have some of those...wouldnt the crickets and roaches just fall down from it?
Hey everyone!
Well.. Ive been experiencing some trouble making Dante eat out of a cup..
The thing is that his cage is big, and usually everytime a cricket falls down dies somehow, and if for somereason the cricket makes it back up the top of the cage I believe its not clean enough since he was...
