xD
the chameleon also crushes the worm when they eat it...
think about it...they have to eat THROUGH THE STOMACH! ()
with limited to no air...and stomach acid xD
I really don't know what was going in his mind lol (trust me...I gave him a piece of my mind when this occurred...)
He's never had a reptile before...this was his first so he didn't have or learn much experience online...
but the chameleon's health plummeted quick...like out of nowhere...
Man! You're vet sounds so good...but I live all the way down in Miami...Kendall area...
I wish someone had a vet down in miami who could recommend me to them...I don't want to play around with different vets xD
Yes I searched vets and vet checks...whatever lol
I was wondering if I have to take my chameleon for routine check ups?? like a dog or something...
if so how often?
also, how much does it cost for a checkup? (ok i know its not accurate but just tell me how much the charged you)
thanks again!
Yes i did offer, he found it would be too late and maybe a waste of my money, to actually find a vet and driving to fort lauderdale...and have it die there...
I cried, telling him I wouldn't want to have the "what if" in the back of my mind...
also I kept reminding him of the chameleons health...
thanks guys for the help...just to tell you guys...IT IS NOT MY CHAMELEON, I don't live with my bf and It's not my chameleon...I would visit it and take care of it sometimes by holding it and taking it out of its cage (he would grasp to the cage mesh)
When i saw how cool that chameleon was...

My bf's chameleon, mine at heart too, seems to be dying and it just hurts to much that we can't do anything...
it is his first and he is such a sweet guy, used to climb to the top of our heads and crawl around...
I just can't help to cry and feel this huge lump in my throat...
he is now...
my boyfriends chameleon has a pale yellow spot near its back leg.
is this a bacterial infection or worms? sorry no pics
we started buying buying crickets from a different store not long ago..
maybe some of the crix were infected or sick? he cleaned his cage thoroughly
we thought the cham...
I'm deeply saddened to hear this news :'(. I'm glad I got the chance to see your collection and thank you for the warm welcome. I hope Donnie can be as beautiful as his father was, may he rest in peace.

Ok here's my feeding regimine:
Calcium without D3: almost every feeding
Calcium D3: every other week
Herptivite: maybe once a week
Ok here is my question...since the crickets eat cricket crack and that should have vitamin A...should I dust them with herptivite?
and is it bad to just...
no, the chameleon doesn't get natural sunlight...I was also wondering how long you should leave the chameleon out under the shade for sunlight...and if that's a substitute for D3
from what I've known he's only given it D3 and just started giving it calcium without it...hopefully we'll be able...
My bf's chameleon is sick right now. He's only given it calcium D3, but I told him he needs both, with and without D3. He says he used to give it before he looked sick and nothing was wrong, he was crawling like crazy but now all he does is lay on the branch.
What can he do to help the...
he's doing great! thanks for asking...
just wish i could handle him more...but i knew a veiled would not be prone to being handled...I don't mind though :) he sure is cute
just when this happened...scared the hell out of me xD
They are also hard to care for...well IMO they need more attention.
I'm using an umbrella plant for now and its working out great...My cham loves sleeping all the way at the bottom under the leaves. :D
