Hey fellow Coloradans
So, tell me more about your set ups and how you keep the humidity going please? I'm in Monument - and wow it is beautiful.
I'm WANTING, but concerned about proper conditions. And did you purchase on line your cham or local?
Thanks folks
Ahh, I see the whole story now - pardon -:o
I thought you did this some time ago - crickets everywhere would be a big problem. Maybe you put the bin inside another bin so that when they get out they land in another container? I dunno, I'm not a cham or criket keeper... yet :D My DH is...
Thank you Dave, I think you have made a lot of folks envious. I keep trying to talk DH into a cham, but he keeps thinking BUGS... And in Colorado we don't have many - coming from FL where there were a bazillion. the cages by design folks do great work, but yours.... well just call me "wanting"
Fabulous! I see your cham is all moved in! Also the Formica, how does it attach to help with the humidity? Did you place two pieces together to have two nice sides on the same wall? Great work!
Dude! Now that is what I'm talking' about
Your craftsmanship is over the top and has all the wonderful delights needed to house a gorgeous creature. Can't wait to see your cham living in his new digs.
:D Absolutely beautiful and I, too, WANT ONE!

Um... And roaches aren't nasty
Honestly folks..I'm likely older than most of you... And having issues getting over my bug phobia. There aren't that many bugs in Co. But still wanting a Cham... But some of those roaches I lived with in FL COULD CARRY ME AWAY
Thanking you all
I just found the DIY cage site; that's a good possibility. And thank you for the wisdom imparted and encouragement. It is just the DH and I so the living room traffic is minimal. I will keep researching and asking questions.. I enjoy the enthusiasm here.
I have been doing a lot of research and am fascinated at how extensive is the field of cham husbandry. I have questions for you experienced cham owners.
1) humidity in Colorado is low - it would be hard to keep in a screen cage - I'm thinking solid cage with screens or some combination there...
