Yeah i plan on getting a vield cham and a male.He has a great breeder for the vields and should have more in a couple weeks. And he is going to hold them for a week or so to make sure they all are doing great in the store before he releases them.I just did not know how close the two species would...
Well i originally was going to get a vield cham but when i went into my local store that has them the two he had were gone.He does plan on getting more in from his breeder but he also had a couple senegals and a jackson in.Now the wife will not allow a jackson as she thinks they are ugly but...
Ok well i got almost everything for my cage set up for my vieled cham. Now i just need to figure out a drainage system for it.It is a 18x18x36 all screen cage.So lets see your and any ideas you have for a good system.
Yeah curious too.My lowes has some bamboo stalks that are like 24 inches high with just a little bit of top. They come just in water so i would half to plant them in something.
Yeah they had one of those but it was in a hanging planter and was only about 8 inches or so high. And i have a all screen cage.I do not know where i would hang it from.
Like the title says. Are any of these ok.This is what i have available at my local lowes right now.
Arboricola
Philodendron Totem
Dracaena
Gold Capella
Anita
Mass Cane
Bamboo
Palm Majesty.
Ok so i am trying to find a large acceptable plant to put in my cage for a vield cham. But where do i find one in southeast MI in the middle of winter. And these are what i was told are acceptable.Correct me if i am wrong.
jade
Umbrella
Schefflera
Ficus - long leafed

How should i go about outfitting my all screen enclosure. It is a 18 x 18 x 36.I plan on running a drip and mister system in it.But do i just cut the screen and pipe everything in or have it all outside the cage and spray/drip through the screen. And also how do people go about hanging anything...
What is the best and easiest drainage set up for a 18x18x36 all screen cage for a veiled chameleon. It had a light wood type bottom in it now but i may put a abs plastic bottom in it.And i plan i using a large potted plant in the cage or even two.
If i am reading this correctly ( Heat Glo infared heat lamp 50W(I turn it off at night) and a repti glo 10.0 coil ).If it is a red type bulb than that is bad for them. Also i have been told the coil bulbs cause eye issues. You need to have the repti glo 5.0 bulb in a tube version.
Now with the standard household bulb are the new smart bulbs that are coiled ok.Because i was told coiled bulbs are bad but they no longer make the regular old style bulb.Or should i get a halogen type bulb.
From what i have seen some people just let the crickets run the cage for them to catch and eat.But i have seen pwople use a small deep dish and put the crickets in and either sit on a angle up by him or hold it for them and they will eat the crickets out of the small container. As for a fogger.I...
Cool.Well i think a male would be easier then. How do you tell a male from a female on a young veiled. Also what are you opinions on the fogger set up. Would it work or not.
