When I got my first chameleon she was roughly that age aswell. I gave her small crickets but it seemed like she was just inhaling them. You can try medium crickets( dusted obviously) or superworms/hornworms as a treat maybe even loctus if they aren’t too big for him
So earlier today i went out and bought the fake black vine to add in my chameleons home and when i put it in she looked at it, hissed, and leaked backward. Luckily i was close enough to catch her.
Shortly after I offered her crickets from the black cricket cage holder and she puffed up again...
personally ive been using a sunny D bottle made into a cricket cup for a good 5 months now. if i were you i would pay attention to where he basks and put it up somewhere near there he may not pay too much attention to it until there’s a good amount of crickets in it
becore i start i apologize if this is in the wrong section.
But I was wondering if anyone knew if any stores in the Oakland/San Leandro ( california) that sell veiled safe roaches :)
( i prefer buying things in person over buying online )
try misting him more often and longer for a few days. it could very well be stuck shed in no expert but like common knowledge yanno. but you could also try giving him a shower with your spray bottle when you do mist him :)
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Female Veiled, guessing 6-9 months ? I’ve had her since August 2018.
Handling - I handle her maybe every other week. Maybe once a month.
Feeding - Feeding her 5-10 ( what ever crawls up the cricket cage collector thing, they’re gut loaded with greens/carrots)...
