he was sold to me as an Ambilobie from a well known local breeder i trusted him

but then my friend came over and told me he is an Anjamba was it possible that he was accidentally switched or something or do i just need to give him some time

also what do you think of his colors will he get those reds or oranges ? or was that only for a couple days?

im very confused

BTW hope you liek this picks

I don't have the answers to your questions, but if I were you, I'd still be happy with what you have. He's beautiful! I like the turquoise more than the red, but that's just me.

Greetings, what a beautiful chameleon! It can take over a year for them to come into their true colors.

I do still see the reds present in him. Understand that when you see photos of chams on breeder/seller sites those chams are generally "fired up".

The early photos definitely look like an ambilobe. I am guessing he will go through several color transitions as he ages. The current blue on blue with red flecking does look similar to Ambanja, but seems more clear and brilliant than most Ambanjas I've seen in photos or in person.

He is absolutely gorgeous, with great bar patterns. Don't know who you bought him from, but you made a good choice and have a superior looking guy there.

Have you tried showing himself in a mirror. It would be interesting to see what he looks like fired up.

Personally I think his vibrant blue colors are amazing. what a stunner. If I didn't see the earlier pics I would never have guessed an ambilobe. I have seen Nosy Be's and Ambanja that look like that even Oorana Mena with the red flecking.

Do you think you could get a pic of him fired up? I would love to see it. I am interested in what happens to his cheeks and neck

I am jealous , He is beautiful, would you mind sharing where you got him?

I'm no help at all.
As far as I'm concerned pardalis is pardalis and I can't really separate one locale from another.
He is absolutely gorgeous!
Congratulations.

Someone mentioned showing a mirror to a male to get them fired up. My veiled didn't blink an eye. Darn.

If I had to put money on it I would say he was a blue Ambilobe, that's why I like that locale in particular, they can have so many different appearances, Blue on blue, red on blue, blue on red etc. You never really know what it's colours will be until fully grown. Another reason he may not have his Reds is because he is so content which is a very good sign :). As previously stated, put him in front of a mirror and see how he fires up, I'd love to see the picture of that, because he's a stunner!

lol i think he is skerd little boy he has never fired up in a mirror i dont know why i also showed him to my male vailed and only my vailed "Fernando" fires up i dont know why ? he only fires up when i start to try and take him out and showes a lot of white and his bars get a lot darker

When they arent fully grown they may not fire up towards another male(AKA the mirrow) because they are not at that dominant stage yet. I have a juvie right now that just runs the other way.

If he saw a girl im sure he would fire up, unless hes a rare guy thats still not interested. Give him time, he will be fine. Obviously he still has the potential to show the colors...Hes just holding back for when hes a big boy, when he can really impress his 'Pa'.
