Misting System is here, yes

After extremely long thought sessions of various choices, I decided it would be awesome to have my cages setup with a misting system for times I want to go and spend the night out and not worry about my chameleon enclosures getting a quick minute of mist in intervals of about every 2 hours.

Now that Its arrived I'll have to experiment with it, but I don't want to over do something I'm not completely comfortable with.

After shopping around, I decided to go with Mistking.com . I had a variety of reasons for choosing this company, but it pretty much all came down to visual appeal.

Plus no one else has this system and it looks awesome so at the very least I could try it out and compare it to how the herpmist setup works since everyone seems to have that.

Anyways, upon arrival, the first thing I noticed about the Mist King setup was how small the nozzles were. I was blown away, the pump was also half of the size I expected it to be! I was really happy about that. I started setting it up but ran out of time, so expect my finished copy , thought I'd share this with you guys in the mean time so you can see what kinda fun I had today.

Mistking was very easy to deal with and has been helping me promptly with all my questions. they were nice enough to throw in some end caps and tubing clips. the package arrived pretty quickly and would have been here even sooner if not for the holiday weekend. I would rate my experience with them an A. When I fired up the system I was more than blown away, thank you mistking!!!

Enjoy :)

You guys take reviews to a high level on this forum. Glad you like everything, though I don't remember throwing in Benz Keys with your order :p

very..

im just so sick of having to call my girlfriend while im at work.."did you mist my babys?" ..lol poor girl... im gunna break down next week and get me a set up.. its about that time...im liking mistking..

After seeing all of the systems they ALL look the same. I dont see how anyone can go wrong with any of the systems. Besides the visual differences in some of the systems they all seem to have the same purpose and setup the same way. Congrats on the new system and now that you have one I am sure you will never live without it like all the others that bought one from one of the various choices.

Just a small side comment...I like the black over some of the whites and other colors. The only issue I have with the black design is that it shows everything. If there is dust or your using hard water or whatever it shows. Sometimes this is a good thing as it will show you when to clean and where. I have a black and silver cage and white nozzles and it works great. Hey to his there own as the color will never affect performance.

Congrats again and welcome to the lap of luxury with the system!

I like the fact that it's a good pump and not that cheesy $25 wholesale piston pump! Contrary to what I was told when I started, competition is always great for the consumer!

Nice Screen Cage Adapters, too!

Looks great man! Have fun finessing the rest of the details today......and at BG tomorrow, you lucky dog!

System looks great man! I think those black nozzles look slick as well. They are freekin AWESOME huh. Best purchase ever for the hobby IMO.

cammie what cycle do you run yours on and for what species

and no those are not red hairs all over my scale, at least its not white powder

i was thinking a getting another mist setup when i move into my new home in a few weeks.how much is the setup that is on the picture?

nice, you got quite a few nozzles, are they all for chams or are some of them reserved for your plants/other things? I agree the nozzles are awesome, I got to see them in person last sunday at an expo and they are very sleek and compact, hesitated to buy a setup right there to save on the shipping but it's not urgent and I recently found out he's in the country not far from me so shipping wouldn't be much anyways. How much did you end up paying in taxes or duties or whatever extra customs charges they tacked on at the border?

Last I checked with mistking it's about $33 shipping to California, so that should give you insight. :)

...

i like the greens on the digscale ;) haha and the misters look good now your cham crib is complete !

lets just say it was a lot of money, more than i was trying to spend, but It will pay for itself quickly in time saved

there were no additional custom fees or taxes, I got a notice in the mail that it was coming thats it, no additional action needed on a declared value that small, I think its over 500 dollars or something like that they get you , who knows

also the repeat cycle timer was kind of pricey but i know it will be worth it!!! and if i decide to use a 7 day timer instead, i can use the repeat cycle for my fans to help them dry out a little without over doing it, I'm going to start a new setup and operating thread and include a link back to this on, since it was hijacked by renegades
